The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have announced the winners of the 2017 International Architecture Awards, the most prestigious awards program for new buildings designed across the globe. The award-winning buildings set the standard for the best in today’s architecture. Hundreds of submissions were received for this year’s annual Global Awards Program from architecture firms from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and the Americas—each hoping to warrant an International Architecture Award. A final shortlist of over 300 projects was presented to a Jury of Texas architects and educators.
As every year all winning projects will be presented in our program (IAA) annual exhibition "The City and the World" on Friday, September 8. All 2017 award winning projects of the International Architecture Awards along with this year's winner of the European Prize for Architecture will be exhibited in Athens, Greece at Contemporary Space (Mitropoleos 74, Plaka).
